I Want to imPress You!!

Are you an Influenster???

 I am!!

Do you know what Influenster is???

Influenster is a community of trendsetters, social media masterminds,
and educated consumers who live to give opinions of products and experiences.

Influensters meet  to learn about new products from our favourite brands,
as well as review the products they already use in their day-to-day lives.

Influenster invites its most active members to participate in exclusive VoxBox programs where members receive complimentary products to test and review.
In exchange, we ask our members to do what they already love to do: share their opinions with their friends & followers on social media.

As  an Influenster I was given the opportunity to receive a Voxbox from imPress Manicure.

They are my favourite of the press on nail options available right now.
I did a post on them a few months back - you can find it here.

I have been working out in the garden a lot this week and as a result my nails were not in the best of shape.  I received my Voxbox in the mail this week.  It included two samples of imPress nails.

The bright leopard print called "Over the Moon" and the zebra striped called "Dancing Queen"

The kit comes complete with 24 nails and a small file and alcohol prep pad.
You make sure your nails are clean of all polish.
Swipe them with the alcohol pad to take away any oils.
Next you match up the size of the nails to your own.
Then it's just a matter of peeling off the backer and pressing them on.
The nails can be purchased in two different lengths.
I received the sport length which are great for everyday use.

Since most of my own nails were longer than the imPress nails,
I chose to only do the imPress nail this time as an accent nail on my ring finger.

I then just painted the rest of my own nails with a co-ordinating polish.

The last time I wore imPress nails I took them off myself after a week.
You will LOVE these I promise.
I know that they retail at our local stores for around $9.99 per set,
which is still way below the cost of having your nails done at a salon.
I have found some on sale for as low as $2.84 at Target.
I keep them around as a way to give myself a quick "pick me up" or
when I need a fast manicure for a last minute date night with McG.

They stand up well to the rigours of daily life and keep imPressing me!!

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes, but all views are my own.

A Little Mid-Week Pick Me Up!

Okay folks, the weather this winter has really been cold and snowy for most of us and I for one have been ready for a little bit of spring for many weeks now.

Today I am going to show you how I got my pick-me-up this week...Are you ready???

I love a great manicure like many of you, but let's face it - it's not always in the budget.  My daughter writes the blog My Beauty Full Adventure and she is forever getting great beauty products to try out.  She recently was sent these to try and she LOVED them.

When I saw these on sale at Target Canada last week I knew they would be a cheap way to help fight off the winter blues.  They are normally $9.99, but these were on sale for just $2.84.  They come in 2 lengths medium and short.  I would have purchased the short as my nails are not long and lustrious, but I had to take what was there and that was the medium length.  However, they were very easy to cut down and file once they had adhered.

There is no glue required as they have an adhesive backing that is amazingly strong.

It comes with 24 nails of various sizes in this cute bottle that looks like a nail polish bottle.  You match the pre-painted nail to your own nails, clean your nails and wipe them down with the enclosed pad and you are good to start.  They were amazingly easy to put on and very easy to cut down and file.  The best part is they look real, not plastic-y and fake.

This colour is called Almost Famous.  I would really recommend them - if even just to give yourself a mid-week pick me up!!

This would also be a great way to fancy up your manicure for a upcoming function, I would definitely recommend that you take a look at this product.  This is NOT a sponsored post and these are just my own views.  I will keep you posted as to how long they last.  My daughter took hers off after a week but she had very good luck with them and she's not doing housework everyday.  I'm not sure they will stand up as well if you have your hands in water a lot, but I guess only time will tell!
