I have spent a great deal of time out in the yard this week. The weather here in Ontario has been beautiful with warm sunny days and cool nights.
As I complete a few projects and get the backyard spruced up for the summer entertaining season, I am amazed everyday with something new blooming in the gardens. Because of that, I have decided to try a weekly series - which I am entitling "What's Blooming". It will showcase each week the beautiful blooms in my garden.
Here's what's blooming this week...
The variegated irises are up and their foliage looks lovely mixed with the tiny purple Muscari.
I have many tulips as well. The Muscari are vigorous multipliers and are seen everywhere in my garden.
Here's a closer look at some of the red tulips. These ones have a tinge of yellow on their petals.
Here are the Trillium in bloom, along with the blue Siberian Bugloss (it looks a lot like Forget Me Nots)
Here's a close- up of the Trillium. They are our provincial flower. These were purchased on Earth Day about fifteen years ago. They come back every year in a little bit bigger clump.
I hope you enjoyed your visit to my garden and I hope you return each week to see
"What's Blooming!"
Your garden is looking to be in good shape, Cheryl!

ReplyDeleteSO pretty! I've always wanted some of that variegated iris and never come across it anymore at the nurseries. I need to find some in someone's yard so I can knock on the door for a start. :o)
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures.
Mindy - well if you lived in my neighbourhood, I would certainly share some of it with you! Thanks for stopping by!
